Standalone Wrangler Export

Every workflow can be downloaded as a runnable Wrangler project: the same plain TypeScript Nodes2Cloud compiles and deploys to your Cloudflare account, with a standard Wrangler configuration next to it.

Compiled output that runs with us removed

A graph compiles ahead of time into Worker/Workflow code; there is no runtime interpreter, and nothing of ours runs in your account. Workers you have deployed keep running if you cancel your subscription or Nodes2Cloud goes away, and an exported project deploys with Wrangler alone.

What the export is not

The export is a compiled artifact, not round-trippable source. Edits you make to the TypeScript do not flow back to the canvas, and a later export or deploy from the graph will not include them. If you want git-backed source files you edit by hand and sync both ways, other tools do that better today.

How to Export a Project

In the workflow editor, open the workflow menu in the toolbar and, under File, choose Download zip. The project is recompiled on our server from the saved graph, the same way a deploy is.

What is in the zip:

├── src/
│ └── index.ts # The compiled Worker (or Workflow) — the whole workflow
├── wrangler.jsonc # The bindings and triggers the workflow needs
├── package.json # Dev dependencies only: wrangler, workers-types, typescript
├── .dev.vars.example # The secret names the workflow expects, without values
├── graph.json # The graph this code was compiled from, for reference
└── README.md # Local setup and deployment steps

If the workflow uses a D1 database, KV namespace or Hyperdrive config, wrangler.jsonc holds a clearly marked placeholder ID for you to replace with your own; the README lists which.

Running Locally with Wrangler

Unzip the project, copy .dev.vars.example to .dev.vars and fill in your secrets, then:

# 1. Install dependencies

npm install

# 2. Start Wrangler's local development server

npx wrangler dev

Wrangler serves the Worker at http://localhost:8787 and provides local versions of its bindings.

Deploying Independently (CI/CD)

To deploy from your own pipeline without going through Nodes2Cloud:

# Deploy directly to your Cloudflare account

npx wrangler deploy

GitHub Actions Workflow Example:

Use the official cloudflare/wrangler-action@v3 with your CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN secret to deploy whenever you push to main.
